I found this and will report back after a couple of coats. It should improve durability.

That will work well and will protect the paint. I've used a couple of different flat clearcoats from rattle cans on top of both paint and clear epoxy on bows. Several light coats did a nice job for me. Normal handling usually always polishes the flat finish back to something shiny after a while, though.

2 coats of flat clear. I'd say it's a matte finish rather than flat. It really evens out the paint job.
