Here's a second for Epson. We bought this for work and it's been a solid purchase. If I were buying for home, I'd definitely give Epson some strong consideration.
I’ve been pretty happy with my HP OfficeJet Pro 9015. Setting up my scan to network folder was a bit of a pain (mainly because I’m not an IT professional) but other than that I’ve had no complaints.
I am replacing an 8-10 year old HP Officejet 6700. has served us well but has always been very slow communicating with my laptop and is always doing self-checks and is an ink hog. I really like the idea of not having to replace ink cartridges. I was looking at the Epson ecotanks already but was a little leery having had no experience with them. Happy you guys had input on them. Leaning hard that way now. This one to be exact. That 4760 is much more than we need here in my rinky dink office.
Its possible if you don't print for long periods of time. If you only print a couple of pages a month, you're probably better off getting a laser or a regular cartridge inkjet if it looks like you'll never hit the break even point for the Epson
This Epson ET-2850 printer has been one of the best electronics I have ever purchased. It prints well, copies well and the scanner is easy to use. It can clean itself. Between Nancy and me we probably print 30 pages a month, give or take a few, mostly black and white. It is amazing how little ink has been spent in nearly three years of use. I was replacing black and a couple of color cartridges in my old printer every year to the tune of $70-$80 per year. We have barely made a dent in the supply of ink that came with this printer in the box. It will be 5 years before I'll have to buy more. This type of ink system has paid for itself for us. Great all in one printer for the money
I bought one this year. Pretty sure it is the same model as yours. Also very happy. It replaced a Kodak which was costing me hundreds per year in cartridges.
