Recommended rifle for squirrel and coon hunting

Im looking for a rifle for squirrel and coon hunting. Something that comes with a scope or can have one mounted. Price range Im looking to stay in is between $150-$250. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

In that price range I would go with a Ruger 10/22 or Marlin Model 60 myself. Both great rifles for the price. Haven't price checked lately, but you may go a little above your budget nowadays for a 10/22 plus optics.

DJK is absolutely right.

Marlin Model 60 on sale at either Gander or BassPro (saw a sales ad this weekend, can't remember which) for $169.
Ruger 10/22 a little more expensive, but great guns.

Buy both, put a scope on one and leave the other iron sights because variety is the spice of life

All you need is a great shooting 22. Those two already mentioned a great. And marlin makes a or did make a 25 n bolt action. Its a good shooting rifle.
