That's what I'm thinking TOO. Just enjoy "the hunt" and have fun!! Shooting deer is TOO much fun to let some other guys ruin it for you. Just hunt, shoot deer, repeat process until tags are full.

Can't shoot what you can't see lol. they have these deer so screwed up and toss in the fact all the fields have been cut all in the same couple weeks just sucks.
Was bummed myself but as I hit the cards from the other day that I pulled it got me to thinking...FUCK those guys. I am not just rolling over and giving up without a fight. Yes, it sucks. Yes, it screwed things up. Yes, it made it 10x's harder but, YKW lol Hunting good deer isn't and has never been easy.
Adam, I like the above advise. Hope you and Dave do a lot of killing of deerz and fill your tags on that property.

Since sightings are down and I decided I really don't care at this point in the game I started off hitting some new spots to sit and see if that was the problem.
Sat here after seeing 6 doe and a couple bucks enter into the ag field just on the other side of the fence.
To my right down the pasture between the fence and the woods
To my left and back into the woods where the deer had been bedding on a small ridge

I had dumped about 30lbs of apples here as well and after a week they just laid there and rotted.
Since sightings are down and I decided I really don't care at this point in the game I started off hitting some new spots to sit and see if that was the problem.

So then I decided to try another setup looking down into the bottom to see if anything was down there just the other day since it was so windy.

Down and to the left looking into the bottom and the edge of another secluded pasture
Then up and to the right into an area the deer travel the top of the ridge to the ag field.

So after not seeing much move around I said screw it and started walking around. While walking around I happened to notice something I never noticed until I seen them at Strouds this year and found out what it actually was.
Then I found a few more just past that.
Funny thing is, I have a stand not 50 yards from here and never noticed them before today. I shouldn't say I never noticed them but rather I didn't know what kind of tree it was until like I said, I found out at Strouds.

So, in a roundabout way I have little hope for this season and am not planning on spending as much time deer hunting as I had the last few years. Nope, just going to take it as I can and go from there. Spend more time hunting other things this year that I have not hunted in years and add in a few new ones this season.

Pretty sure that is what that tree is. Will have to keep an eye on them and see if they have fruit next year.
I truely feel for you Adam! I can imagine how frustrating it must be to be dealing with the extra hunting pressure and absolutely no deer sightings day after day. I like hearing you getting out and hunting other game though. The deer hunting might start getting better soon as well. Good luck buddy!
