$10,000 rebates...why not just lower the price?!I really struggle to wrap my head around how ford and GM are not making money or struggling
Then you wouldn’t be getting a deal.....$10,000 rebates...why not just lower the price?!

O come on Adam.
The Tundra has more than proven its self in the truck market.

Jim u are correct, the light duty 1/2 ton section of the truck market. Apples to oranges. It's perfectly ok for the pavement pounding, grocery getting tasks but you won't find any on a job site with any reasonable size trailer or piece if equipment behind it.
Granted, the Tundra can tow the space shuttle as shown, but not legally. But, anyone who has a little grasp on the laws of physics knows it only requires the most energy to get a mass rolling. Once rolling a fiesta coulda stepped in.
A small skid steer puts the max capacity Tundra config. at it's limits. Nissan can't even come close # wise and Honda has no real truck offering in any segment.
Largely because the big three has lobbied for decades to keep foreign makers out of the light duty truck market. The post WWII 25% tariff on foreign light duty trucks called the "Chicken Tax" still exists.. There no doubt in anyone's mind, including the big three, that if foreign light duty trucks were allowed they'd be bankrupt tomorrow. We've created an environment of protectionism instead of innovation. Open it up and it would go the same way as the car and SUV market with Ford, GM and Dodge getting their asses kicked in every category.
