Should I grow it out again? Maybe for the bow shoot this summer. Roll in with it up in a pony tail...

ok here's a question for ya... My 9 year old needs a release. He shoots a Bear Warrior 3, and tends to twist with the thumb release I got him. I let him use my TRu-Fire release for practice and he loves it, but he REALLY has to reach to shoot with it. is there something shorter? I have seen the little goose and it looks like it would work but its really more than i'd like to spend... should i just deal with the price? is there something more appropriate out there for his size?

If he is using a D-loop..I dont feel twisting the release a little will induce much torque on the shot..I twist mine almost 90 degrees an it seems to be fine..

he is not using a nock loop, he is pulling on the string, should i get a nock loop for him? that might really help... :smiley_chinrub:

Yep. You twist the string too much and pull the string back at an angle also could derail the string. Not likely on a youth bow but thought I would throw that out there.
There are just too many benefits of shooting with a d-loop to not do it. Improved accurancy, easier nock height adjustability, greatly-reduced string wear... the list goes on and on.
