Rem 870s with detachable mags

Uhhhhh. Why? I mean seriously remington dld they honestly believe there was a need for a mag fed pump gun that was not satisfied by the tube fed gun which would move people to buy this?

3 gun was my first thought. House gun where you keep the gun unloaded but have a couple full mags is the other. Otherwise it's something unique in a market where it's hard to stand out from the crowd,

Migratory bird hunting? In places with real Dove populations, I could see this being nice. A lot of the videos you see guys take two guns and have a gun constantly loading a gun for the customer. (Mexico hunts)

Guys that pay to dove hunt in Argentina wont be shooting a pump 870. They don't have little paco reloading for them because its quicker, its because lil Paco works for tips.

The armchair wantabe's will buy all they make. I can see it now guys in camo walking around the gunshows with this new Rem slung across their chest.
ASAP

Guess I'm in the minority here but I like it because I can have the mag out and gun beside me while I sleep. With small children in the house I do t feel comfortable having a loaded tube fed shotgun. The only problem is shotshells will deform being compressed in a magazine.

I have a loaded Win 1897 12 ga shotgun in the house. I've had the magazine tube loaded for 25 yrs and never noticed deformed shells. I unload and reload every once in a while. Matter in fact I think the same buckshot and slugs rounds have been in it for 25 yrs.
The magazine is loaded and the action is pulled back putting a round on the carrier and all I have to do is push the forearm forward and it's locked, loaded, and cocked.

They are much stronger long ways vs short ways if that makes sense. Shotshells are compressed on a different axis in a tube vs in a magazine. It's just what I have heard but it made sense to me. I like my Glock as my home defense gun anyways.

Win 1897 has a magazine tube not a box magazine.
Plus I have a Glock 23 40 S&W, H&K P7 squeeze cocker 9MM, SA 40 S&W and a Ruger LC9 9MM all loaded and ready. Forgot the RIA 22 TCM 17 round auto.
