Road Trip to CO.

I drove a semi to Denver three times every two weeks... It does get nasty in the winter. They do not use salt, just sand. Before I had ever been out there I pictured Denver being up on a hill. Actually, it sets in a bowl of sorts. I have left Denver with the weather in the 60's, drove two hours east and hopped out of the truck in -0. The factors you mentioned are part of the reason I like driving out there...along with the scenery, nothing will make you feel so small. It really puts things in perpective just how minute we are in the scheme of things.

Just wondering what is a typical caliber to use on Elk?
30-06?
300 Win mag?

I don't know if I would be in a area to use bow but I could consider a muzzy.

Any Ideas?

If you have a 06 that should be plenty with the plethora of choices in that ammo.
