I will be off from the 29th of October to the 20th of Nov. and the best thing is on the 3rd of Feb. my vacation gets reloaded and I get a 4th week added to it!!
I personally think the first week in November is hard to beat. I try and get a solid 6 days of hunting in from halloween through the first weekend in November. After that I just hunt weekends. Last year it seemed like things got hot halloween weekend. In 8 hours of hunting ( 4 in morn and 4 in eve) I saw 21 deer.
As a teacher, my time off is during the summer months when hunting season is not in which is a real bummer. We don't get vacation time... only sick days and three personal days a year. Therefore, I try and stretch my personal days out and take them on a Friday or Monday so I can hunt three days instead of one.
