Well..... No update.... I hope your busting your ass dragging that slob.... Oh don't call Dave.... He already hooked up with some new guy and are having Busch Lites together......
Nada! Seen 6 baldies in 3 all day sits. 5 Monday, one Tuesday, none Wednesday. Got 3 more days then heading home Sunday. Jersey gun season starts Monday.
Gonna go back and not shoot anything there either?

He's in South Jersey.... Plenty of deer there, so he might get lucky.... If he wants he could come hunt the mountains of North Jersey and I'd stick him in an area that has bears.... On second thought that wouldn't work.... Can't use a quad... Gotta walk... Come on George shoot that big boy already.... We're rooting for ya....
LMAO this reminds me of a kid from my 6th grade math class. The teacher kicked him out of class, like literally shoved him out into the hallway and he turned around and yelled Et Tu Brute to her. I about died laughing. We had just learned about that.
Saw a fawn at 2:00....31 hens and 5 Tom’s. Got two more days. Maybe the deer gods will reward me. 199 hours on stand including bow...only have around 40 hours in Jersey.

pretty good...they pushed me a good one...not big boy but with 2 days left, I wasn’t looking a gift horse in the mouth!
Well, after 201 hours on stand, I got a decent buck...not the one I was after but with time winding down, I was very happy with the opportunity. He came in quartering toward me and I put it on his chest at an angle to try and get both lungs. I wouldn’t have taken this shot with a bow but with a 20 gauge, I will take that shot all day. He ran down the ravine and jumped a small creek then collapsed. How did someone put it earlier?....he ran straight down to the devils ass crack.
I was able to get the quad close, but needed the wench to get out of there. When I gutted him, the shot had taken out both lungs and never entered the gut area...all the blood was in the chest cavity. The one I was after has been at the property for the past two seasons, so if he survives hunting season and the coyotes, he should be even bigger next year. I feel very fortunate for the opportunity to harvest this deer and appreciate everyone rooting for me and breaking my balls along the way. Jersey shotgun starts Monday so hopefully I’ll be posting on this thread again soon. Also found a great rub when doing a walkabout...that tree is absolutely shredded!
