Too many does equals not enough bucks. After the young spike hangs around the next year she will run him out of the country. Gods way of keeping interbreeding from happening. The theory is to shoot the doe w twins and that young buck will make your area his home range. You have plenty doe and hardly any fawns which is a result of over population. Usually mature does will have twins if the habitat can support it.
How does shooting the breeder of the bucks make sense?

It all adds up...$72.50 for a hunting license plus all of the $28 charges ($168 total) plus a rifle permit, clam permit and $22 a pop for turkey permits (5 different weeks @ $22 each). NJ nickel and dimes you to death!
Nickel and dime?!? Sounds like they bend you over $10 and $20 at a time 😳

None. But of i have a doe spitting out twins, I don't want to shoot her. I'd rather shoot the button if I need the meat.

Obviously you not killing all the breeder bucks. Here’s a new one all age classes of bucks breed when you have too many does, even spikes

If your numbers are low I suggest not killing any does at all.

Under Denture Man's plan you'll soon be getting North Jerseys surplus bears and they will keep your fawn crop under control.....

Fuck a bear. Trust me you do not want them in your deer woods.
You got that right.... There's an area we used to do very well deer hunting, then the bears took over... Now the deer are gone.... They put a very big dent in the fawn crop year after year.... Soon there are no deer left....I love hunting them, but currently they are running rampant....
