It’s not quite light enough to film but there is a red fox at my decoys about 30 yards away and he doesn’t know what to make of the situation. He’s walking around them and scampers off, then comes back to sniff, then scampers off again.

As I hit the send button on the above statement, a Turkey gobbled….directly above my blind. There were several of the bastards….they must’ve watched me put out the decoys then get into the blind. I used a green light and they didn’t spook. They flew down into the field and are working this way…the ones I can see are jakes.
Two velvet bucks didn’t like the looks of my decoys…..spooked after a five minute stare down.
Fishing for white perch on the Mullica river in Batsto. Low and behold…I’m next to a tulip poplar tree.
He ain’t as big as the southern boys catch but he’s not bad for the river I’m fishing…threw back about 25 small perch and a half dozen small catfish. I’ve got 10 keeper white perch so far.

Use them perch for bait, you will catch big catfish!
Went fishing in north central Pennsylvania for 9 days. Spent a lot of time scouting new spots via the internet/google maps/HuntWise app…then boots on the ground. Found lots of good places and scratched off the ones that didn’t pan out. Also found a huge crawfish claw. Got my limit about everyday. Most days I’d leave camp by 5:30am and be back before 8:00am with a limit and everyone else was still in bed. The last day I left camp at 5:30 and had my limit by 6:10. Took two kids to a fishing contest Saturday and one placed second and won a rod, tackle box and a net. All of the kids got to pick out two gifts in a big tent they had set up with donations from the sponsors….the kid that placed second picked out another rod and another tackle box. The other kid picked out baseball cards both times…I don’t think he’s going to be an fisherman.

Didn’t measure them but most were brook trout and I’d guess around 16-18” and 3 pounds. Caught bigger ones and didn’t take pics. Most trout were in the 1-2 pound range. Caught some real good rainbow also at a small pool along a stream I scouted.
All stocked fish. That’s why they are so big.
Just a Y buck and a doe. They were very skittish and didn’t stay long. It’s F’ing cold out today…even with a heater. Should’ve worn insulated pants and boots.
That coloration on the bucks back leg will be easy to differentiate him from other bucks later on.View attachment 190705
