You know, I don’t know much or I’d be tagging out every place I’ve hunted. With that being said, I’ve never had much luck w piles of bait. Seems they figure it out that they can gorge themselves at night and bed all day chewing their cud. What has always worked for me is scattering just enough before hunting every morning that it’s gonna be gone by early night.View attachment 215709
He’s F’ing with my mind!At least he’s at my pile almost daily….just at night.
I used to run auto feeders here, never seen a deer under them in the day. Walk past cam and corn was everywhere after the evening hunt. 10 minutes after dark I’d have 10-15 deer on my cam.

Could’ve killed many small bucks or does. I’m after mature bucks. If I eat tag soup, I’m ok with that.
