Well.... I contacted a local taxidermist about restoring the antlers.It's only $100 for the first 6" of antler and $25 per inch afterwards.
Pass....hard pass!!!I also found out, from that taxidermist, that you have to get a permit (it's free) from the GW, for the head with antlers attached.
I called and left a message on his voice mail and am awaiting a return call.

You may have been one of the few who did NOT know. LolAs it turns out, you're allowed to pick up all the antlers you want. However, if their attached to the skull, you need to obtain a carcass permit (it's free), from the GW. I made the call, met up with him this morning and he was glad to issue me the permit.
I'd never heard of this for a skull with antlers. I thought a carcass permit was for a road killed deer.Live and learn.
