Now can any dog be trained? I have a bassett which has the second best nose I'm told, could she do it? She has been chewing on them since 6 weeks, she is now 6 mo

Actually, everything I have been reading about especially the Dokken training videos and book says that they do track them with scent but mostly sight. The antler itself has no scent but were it falls off is where the scent is. I just ordered a system called the Dogbone retrieving kit. Look into it for your bassett.
