I had shingles on my face and in my mouth. I don't recommend. On the fence about the shingles vaccine but have nothing against it. It is an actual vaccine versus an experimental shot. If you're over 50 and you fear shingles (or have a weakened immune system), I would think the shingles vaccine would be a decent idea. But what do I know? I mow lawns. 
Pretty sure 50 is the age they told me I could get the shingles vaccine. I haven't hit it quite yet.
