Shot distance, would you?

No for me. Even if your shot was absolutely perfect and no wind, it only takes one step from that deer to make it a gut shot. I practice with my compound out to 100 yards in the summer time, and can consistently keep it in the vitals on a target at 75 yards. That being said, my absolute max for whitetails is 35 yards. Far too skittish, and they just move a lot naturally.

I have personally killed caribou at 97 and 92 yards with a compound. But I also practiced everyday shooting at 100yds.

Truly it's like any other weapon, if you have practice that distance and your comfortable with the shot then it's up to you to decide. The bow itself is fully capable.

This group is highly in the minority of the hunting community. Not one person I've talked to in person has said I made the right choice. I'm an idiot/dumbass for not at least trying. Lol, I'm good with letting that deer walk and killing the second biggest buck in the field.
You made the right choice. Any other time we think you're an idiot/dumbass. You redeemed yourself a little with this decision. 🤣

Hard no for me. Arrows are expensive and I'd never find it after I missed.

I agree with everyone on the closer the better. But if it were me and I knew that I was capable of that kinda shot I would have taken it.
I have the same crossbow now and I have only practiced up to 40, so I would have passed. But that's as far as my area let's me shoot. Even with gun hunting we are basically bow hunting with guns
