Well I did something tonight I wasn't sure if I was ever going to do. I've thought about it many times. I've also shot my fair share of nocks and vanes off. My dad was outside with me while shooting....telling me what yardages to shoot from. I was shooting 3 arrows at a time....from 20, 30 and 40 yards. Sometimes he would tell me to shoot my first one from 30 and then step up to 20 to release my last two. This particular time....he told me to shoot 2 from 30 and then step back to 40 for my last shot. Lets just say I didn't get to shoot my 40 yard shot due to excitement and celebration! I released my first arrow from 30 and buried it right in the boiler room. I nocked my second arrow....took a deep breath....found my anchor point....settled my pin right in the sweet spot and released the 2nd arrow making sure to follow on back through with my release hand. Once the arrow reached the target....I heard a sound I had never heard before. The first thing I though was...."Did I just shoot a Robin Hood?"! We'll obviously I was thinking out loud because that thought was followed by my dad saying...."Yes you did!". I looked to the sky....raised my hands....and thanked god for giving me the ability to accomplish such a task! It was my first "Robin Hood"! I rushed to the target and began to take pics to send to buddies and post on TOO! Well here they are! Congrats on your first robin hood, RUTNUT! It's definitely a great feeling. Save that one... hang in up in your garage or mancave as a trophy. That one is a special one. Once you do it a second or third time, you'll just be pissed about ruining an arrow. lol
