Not sure about putting a camera on the power tower, but that buck looks pretty cool.

Could you maybe put a post in the ground somewhere near the tower instead of puuting it on the tower?

Security is always an issue... It's pretty open out there and a pole in the ground would be an easy removal of a camera I really don't want too lose :smiley_crocodile: But I don't want too fry one as well :smiley_clap:

Great start in your camera addiction J. Better than I got my first year running cameras let alone my first camera check! I have thought about hooking to these type of power lines as well, but just didn't know the legalities.

those towers are grounded. so it shouldnt matter. There is EMFs there, but there are EMFs in your house as well. People live near towers and there stuff doesnt get effected.
I doubt you would get any interference at all.
