Fox have been around all summer. The pair looks like they'll use the den again this fall/winter for another litter.
Rabbits make a gawd awfullest screech when nabbed by a fox..... Makes me think of reading Watership Down the first time.

Thx BH. We've had the vixen out 'calling' before, many years now, and never heard it go that long in a series, usually just a screech and 1 or two mins later another... sometimes for hours... lotsa bunnies around and they like that sand pile as well.
When I've done the rabbit distress call, based in dispatching wounding ones while rabbit hunting, it sounds more like that, but I did see the fox in the video look like it was vocalizing - wondered if it was the fox or
, got my attention either way playing the vids one after the other with the sound turned up as most vids on the card had very little sound... lol.
Noone is smart as all of us, so I appreciate it.

First conformed otter on the property last week. Haven't seen it in the ponds at this point.
If you like your fish, you won’t like that otter…..
@"J" Oh ya, neighbor Cliff and I are hatching a plan. Love to get him this fall when the pelt is prime. .. but like my fish in the ponds more.
