Summit county park hunts

Did anyone enter for the chance to hunt in some of the various parks in summit county? I didn't even realize they were doing it again this year but googled it and saw the entry deadline was the next day (July 19th). I lucked out on that one!

I didn't see that when I was on the DNR website entering for the archery hunts.

I never hunted them. But you best be in great physical condition. The areas they allow you to hunt require a long drag over rough terrain in most cases. This is exactly why I never pursued the idea even though I'd be hunting some monster bucks nearly in my backyard.

It isn't one of the options on the ODNR website. You have to be a summit county resident and print an entry form from the summit metroparks website, then mail it in.

Interesting, I would consider myself in pretty solid shape so I still hope I get drawn. I know some some giants live in the parks, that's why I want in.
