Here's the doe, was a fun hunt. Bumped some deer of coming in of course. Had a young buck come in and hung out for a little while, he was into about 10 yards at one point so was pretty cool. He kept looking back, so I waiting until he turned buck once to grab my bow and be ready. Few does started working my way, but like going around the buck, so I was a little worried about not getting shot. Had one little window and let it rip.

Congrats, way to start us off for the season. Got 1 stand and a blind up today on one of the two properties. Need to get anther one up this week at the other property.

Congrats Francis! I wont be out much till late October due to 50 hours a week work and a 4 and 2 year old. I will be taking my niece/nephews out some and hopefully tag a nice buck. Good luck everyone!

Thanks guy, I told em I know its only a doe, but I need a picture! I'm a picture person, and what I love about hunting is the memories and how jacked up I get over does still. I'm hoping to be good for another doe in Athens before November, if I can get some weekends off work, might be getting a new job so see how busy that will be. I'm trying to stay positive, cause its a good spot and can never know what will happen during the rut. My other buddy shot a horse with antler yesterday, pretty good start to our season in my little group. Did use a new head for this deer, tried the afflictors and was pretty impressed, had great blood trail.
