Well made it out this morning, sat for 5 hours and nothing moving in the high wind and rain..... Go figure lol.... Had a squirrel and a hawk close encounter but that was the only excitement for the morning..... Walked out pulling SD cards and replacing them and low and behold my dumbass forgot too turn one on..... Doh!!!! was pissed at myself for that one but oh well I got over it lol..... Thinking of moving a couple of stands too make them more deer freindly..... Might do that after Sundays hunt.... we'll see how that works out.... Can't make it out tomorrow going too visit my buddy who had a stroke at the beginning of the year in the morning and spending the afternoon/evening with the wife and some friends that want too go on a ghost walk of all things..... The things I do too get a little hunting in..... Dang.......

For all making it out in the morning here's wishing you big bucks and accurate arrows.... Good luck.....

Another morning hunt under my belt.... Saw three does @0900 they skirted in behind me out of range and never came around for a shot out in front of me..... Oh well good morning too be in the stand..... light drizzle every now and then and light and variable wind most of the time but there were a few gusts that were pushing the tree around only happened a couple of times.... Daw about a dozen turkey and another three of them when I was walking out....

Might do a field edge ground setup tonight if the wind is right.... Good luck Y'all

Got a 2.5 year old 7 point tonight. Jumped the gun. Had a snap decision to shoot as he stepped out of the corn and turned right around heading back in at 20 yards. I was in a ground blind so I was caught a bit off guard. Made a really good shot, but kinda wished I woulda missed. I am thankful to God for blessing me and my family with this deer, but it's definitely not the caliber of buck I go for. I will post up some pics tomorrow if possible. With Harvest heating up, I probably wasn't gonna get out much, but this one stings knowing what kind of deer I have around most of my stands

Here's a pic. As you can see he's just not what I go for at all. I will make a prediction. Team 10 will get alot of points from Ohiowhitetails when he connects with one of our bucks wehave around. Of all years, this year we have so many studs around it's crazy. Can ya tell I just got off work about 40 minutes before shooting this guy? Literally threw some camo over top of the work clothes and made the 2 minute walk o the ground blind.

Got out of work a little early and made it home, showered, smoked up and hit a farm I haven't hunted this year yet.... Went over Friday and did some scouting and saw a lot of good buck sign both scrapes and rub lines..... Picked a ambush spot/observation spot and snuck into it around 1600.... Got a call from a friend and he said where you at and I told him he said good I'll be over the other ridge from you lol.... Well anyway we had about 2/3 of the area covered and he ended up seeing 3 doe with no shot and I didn't see anything but trains, squirrels and chipmunks..... Anyway lots of good sign and I anticipate good things from this farm..... Gotta put some cameras over there too see what's up.....

Could've busted does this weekend. Took the pass this time. Didn't see any horns from the stand. Hopefully that trend changes in the coming weeks....

Friday night was a bust. Saturday morning I seen 9 deer total. 2 of which were definite shooters. I passed on a doe so I wouldn't spook either of the bucks. I figured I'd be a nice guy and save them for Nate (Ohiowhitetails). Saturday evening waslooking to be good until a couplegood ole boys showed updown the lane with their muddin truck and decided to raise hell at 6pm. Last night I had a 2.5 year old 9 point walk under me at 5:30 cruising through my funnel. I think I'm gonna buy me another $15 antlerless and head tomy old stomping grounds in wood county sometime after work this week. A little chancy buying it considering the way harvest should be heating up. Once they really start shelling, I won't get to hunt again until second gun season I think
