It's all good man! I completely underestimated the eyesight of a turkey and paid the price haha. Oh well no harm done. Also congrats on getting accepted to Oregon State, what will you be going there to study?

Hahaha it's all good, don't think anyone is going to care. Very cool! I applied and got accepted to there online program for agricultural science, enviromental science, and fishery and wildlife. I might do one for a minor to have but idk yet

Ya they're pretty strong in all those programs. I can't wait to get out there this fall and have some completely different hunting and fishing experiences, I already have a few good contacts for advice and a couple hundred acres of private for elk and blacktail about twenty minutes out of town

Had a bird at less than 30 yds the last 2 days and couldn't kill him. Sunday I just needed him to move a ft or 2 for a clean shot and yesterday he caught me moving my gun ever so slightly for the shot and took off running before I could shoot! He didn't putt and actually gobbled a few min later but no chance of him coming back.
Not sure when I will get back out. Start back on day shift for the next 7 days, kids have rec ball games every eve and travel ball starts this weekend. My Grandfather had a stoke and is in the hospital and he is my priority right now. Alot going on in life right now so turks will be on the back burner....

Wow, that is a lot on your plate for sure. Turkeys will always be there to hunt later. So sorry to hear about your grandfather I will say a prayer for him.

Going out again tomorrow and hunting the next morning were my uncle got the jake.Taking the bow let y'all know how it went when I get back.
