Went out last night, other than a flock of hen turkeys that was the highlight of the evening... Wind was ridiculous on the top stand I was at... Plus it didn't help I was underdressed for the occasion lol... Thursday the rain moves in so I'll be out Wednesday evening...

Didn't really see alot this Weeknd like I thought wind wasn't good at all. Swirling and big gusts. Went out last night to a spot I hadn't hunted all year and the cams had been out since Sept 4th without being checked so I was excited to see what was on them got to first cam after a mile walk and the card was missing I hate a damn theif. Went to my other stand to check camera and found a pretty good dead head. Started to look at him and noticed it was a deer I passed 5 or so times last year. And he was dead 20 yards from my stand. I would of shot him this year I'll post pics in my trail cam pics.
I hunted saturday evening and sunday morning. The Evening hunt was a good one. Was covered up in Does and fawns all night and a couple young bucks. Always nice not getting winded or seen in your first sit in a new stand. Sunday morning I definitely bumped a couple walking in. Never seen anything all morning. Luckily it's a spot I rarely hunt. It's a spot I hunt when winds keep me from boogering up other spots.
I dropped some pears and apples yesterday and pulled my card. Fuggin Coyotes every pull now. Damn near every day. I've noticed all my Does and Fawns moved across the road to the sanctuary. I'm gonna try and find someone who wants to call them in and kill them. Pretty easy set up out there now that all the crops are down

Nothing tonight. Sat in a stand where I can see forever and didnt see shit anywhere. Had a buddy scouting the countryside from the truck and never saw a deer. The woods were dead. Never even hear a squirrel or bird
Damn, sorry to hear that Red, I'll be heading out tomorrow evening before the rain moves in....

Get a call from mom today and she says there picking the corn across from the house then an hour later she's says there picking corn behind the house too. So 70 acres of corn gonna be gone today between across the road and behind the house and I'm stuck at work and didn't even bring my stuff with me. Told my brother to go back to my stand when he gets off at 3 will see what happens.
Busted a doe last night and had one hell of a buck at 50y with now shot. Watched him feed away. Back at it tonight in the same stand.
I've gotta work the next four days, but then I'm off from the 31st to the 18th. If I can't get it done then, I suck at hunting. LOL

Fugged up last night. Grazed a big buck last night. Shot was way high over the back. Came running to my can call at 6pm. What. A. Loser.

I seen a total of 5 bucks yesterday biggest being a 120s 11 point didn't see a single doe. Seen 2 good bucks this morning driving nothing from the stand yet. The buck I shot is back on cam working a scrape pretty regular but he's coming thru about 6 in the morning.
