Yesterday I got on a bird and had him at 15 yards after playing cat and mouse for about an hr. No good shots were available though. Gonna try a different prop today in hopes that they're hammering. They quit gobbling yesterday around 8:30. And we heard 0 shots all day.

Tj, I say take it easy and do what moundhill said and wait till later this week for the rainy mornings. Take it easy man and soak up just being able to have a good excuse to be out in the woods! Get on them when you can don't force anything.
Moundhill, sucks to hear you couldn't seal the deal yesterday but hopefully you can get on another one today. I didn't hear a single gobble yesterday but did her 2 shots way off in the distance and say a group of turkeys hauling through the woods. I'm going to go with a single Jake decoy this morning with a feeding hen to see if that may intice one to swing on by

good luck guys!

Yeah I'm thinking I'm just going to hold off and hunt friday to sunday this weekend. With all those guys out there I figured I needed out there sooner than later.

Well this morning was a bust. Had some great encounters and saw alot of birds. Heard quite a few off roost also. They shut up after flying down though. Did get within about 5 yards of a pissed off hen.

I worked off nights this morning boys, and felt decent so I grabbed my junk and hit the woods. No roost gobbles so I went for a little walk and struck a bird @655, worked him from then till 805, had him less than 30yrd once and he couldn't see my deke so he left. I repositioned and called him to with in 25 and shot him in the face. He's prolly a 4yr old, Ill post details later. Good luck guys.

no gobbling all morning till about 7:45, buncha jakes off in a field on private ground and they weren't leaving. Had a couple good gobbles to our north and tried to relocate on him but once we hiked there it was quiet

This year has been rough for me. I've gotten up at 4 every day since last Sunday, to only have gotten on about 3 birds. All of which didn't work out. I w.only had the safety off once, and that was yesterday. We got a turkey patterned pretty well yesterday and are gonna try to slip in on him with this full moon. Good luck fellers!

I tried the same thing yesterday... went terrible lol we knew where this bird roosted and knew where he pitched too. Roosted em and his hens were 100yds below him. Tried putting the sneak on em at 5am to get between the two and got busted... thought he was further down the ridge than he was and the moon really screwed us...

Dang man. It's never easy. We ended up getting on that bird again, he just would break and give me a comfortable shot. He strutted at 55 yards for about 20 minutes. Once his hens flew down, game over. He walked off with them.
