We found one mature buck that seems to have died from ehd. we have cam pics of him looking good in July but skinny and still in velvet the end of September. Neighbor found him dead a few weeks back. Ive heard of a few other ehd dead deer but nothing like 2012.
Good luck fellas, I'll be out with the gun on Monday and Tuesday. Then back at it next weekend. Trail cameras really slowed down with daylight pictures of any good bucks. Maybe get lucky with the orange army.

I was out yesterday...didn’t even see a single animal alive. Could’ve been because I spent most of the day dragging other peoples deer though[emoji23]. I had a damn good time in the woods yesterday and have to work the rest of the week and weekend. I might be sick on Thursday...

Nice, congrats on the great hunts so far this week. I passed several small bucks and almost 2 dozen does Monday and Tuesday. I'll be back out this weekend. Good luck team!

Motorbreaker Congrats on your hunting success...I have been dealing with setting up a new computer and must have missed your post...Good Luck to all the rest of the season.
Pleasure was all mine! This is a year for reflecting to me. Plus I got a doe opening day and my daughter got one in youth season, so the freezer ain’t empty. Thanks for the good wishes, but the deer have little to do with my plan this year.

I’m mentally all over...finding lots of roadblocks and really getting upset about the back stabbing bs around deer hunting. I’m starting to see why some people are real dicks about hunting anymore and go alone. Ready to buy more land so I don’t have to deal with the bs.
In the end, I’ve had a very successful year so far and really can’t complain. My normal mid season low is here...come on snow and late season! That’s my time to shine.

I am struggling a bit too, feeling a little defeated as of recent. No surprise after all the anticipation from the rut has come and gone. Happens every year if i don't connect. I'm eye balling late season strategies now, while getting my ice gear ready.
Im pretty sure I’m going back to my old ways...buck and it’s down. We will see what happens if an opportunity presents itself, but my hopes and dreams are pretty wide open right now.
