What a day savannah shot her first deer my buddy from Tennessee missed the big velvet buck. I helped another friend find his buck. Went back out tonight and seen 10 bucks and 3 does. Meanwhile same buddy that missed earlier has another shooter at 8 yards and his arrow falls off his string twice as he tries to draw. Realease jaws were hitting the knock and pooping it off. Overall an awesome day could of ended better for him tho.

Savannah's got another tag burning a hole in her pocket she's amped up. I originally told her only a buck now since we won't need the meat but I do think think I can tell her no she can't shoot one if it comes thru. I think she wants to hold off for a buck tho.

Hunted across from my house tonight with savannah. Didn't see anything but I did learn all the gossip going on in first grade. The drama has already started lol.And learned how to do some letters in sign language. ( Her aunt teachs deaf kids and savannah has a cousin that is deaf and she has learned some from them). Got back to the Jeep and the starter had went out so had my wife bring the truck over and pull me back to the house. So the night wasn't real good but we had fun. My wife did say when she pulled into the field we were in there was 2 bucks coming out of the corn. If we would of had a few more minutes of light we may have seen them.

I got a 2 year old and I cant wait till shes old enough to hunt this year I am going to take her to the blind the first time let her start to get use to it.

Heres how my morning went guys! I was sitting in a new stand we just hung as a observation stand on a big creek. I told myself if I saw a decent doe I would take her so I could buck hunt the rest of the year. I saw a decent 8 pointer about 200 yards out. Then about 20 min later I caught movement out if the corner if my eye and it went behind a tree. I stood up and drew back as he wasnt far about 20 yards but behind a tree. I didnt have a lane cleared in that direction but there was a opening. He approached fast and I thought it was a decent doe. I was surprised when I walked up on 2 little nubs. The ol rage done its job and he only went about 20 yards I double lunged him.
