Didn't get a chance to go yesterday and check things out as my brother came up to zero his shotgun and crossbow in for our Illinois trip.. He's 85 so getting him set up was more important.. Today it's pouring.... Next break in the weather I'll set up a camera watching a camera... Thurs. Fri. And Sat. I'll be bear hunting elsewhere...

Ok... I went and removed camera... Checked area that would have a pic taken when door was opened... They matched here's a cell pic of area I took today... See branch to left with Y in it... So someone must have opened door as it didn't happen when I set cam up as pic is in middle of other pics... Rather then give them some aid in scouting I just removed it....

If they spotted the camera out of its detectionr ange they could easily approach it from behind and open the door without being detected. But why even bother if you aren't stealing the cam or at least the card.

I bet they looked at the pics with a card viewer. I used to know a guy who would sneak over to a neighboring property and delete pictures off a guys cam of a particular buck.

Yup. Deleted what they wanted to or just looked and put it back. I bet a real slammer is in that area. The guys trick worked.

I may have pulled that camera, but I'm still there with 2 other cams running.... So no, his trickery didn't cause me to leave....

Well went and checked two cams yesterday... NOT A SINGLE DEER PIC... NADA... So pulled them and whoever can have that spot... And cams were not touched... They were up high (used a ladder stick) and put a tie strap around them with my initials....
