I used to hunt with my wife a little bit too before the kids came along. She really liked chasing turkeys, and hopes to get back at it now that the kids are getting involved.
If you haven't looked at my Iowa late muzzy season thread, go take a peek at posts 70 - 82. I also had crappy luck with the TC Shockwaves so switched to Barnes TMZs. Those things are incredible.

Sounds like we've all had similar experience. I love how they group, but they do not do enough damage for my liking. I'll be trying a few different types out before next season.

Congrats to you and your wife not only on a fine buck but on your upcoming arrival! I appreciate your approach to these things and to life in general. You've got a good thing going! With regards to muzzy bullets, I use the power belt 195 gr aero tips with 100 grains of powder. They group fine and I've never had any expansion problems
