Update on my camper slide. (I think all that talk happened in this thread.) It had been closed since I seriously forced it closed at Strouds last year. I didn't want to reopen it until I was done moving it around. I was in serious fear of it falling out or doing more damage. Well, yesterday was the day I was to reopen it. After all the bad luck I've had this year, I was in F-it mode and pushed the button. It ran out as if it was brand new. Only thing I can figure is that I got it back on track when I was shoving all over.
Felt good to be able to breath a sigh of relief this year.
Black tank got 2 big bags of ice and I was able to hold off another week before tackling that job. Looking at the cable again yesterday, I should be able to relocate the bracket and reuse the original cable by shortening it. Another win for the year.

Trip #2 for the year is in the books. We hit up Leith Run this weekend with my duck hunting buddies. Nice, big sites with access to the river for fishing, a nice shower house, new playground, and a paved bike trail that our kids tried to wear out. I got to dry run the little pellet grill by smoking my buddy's jake from opening weekend and we were able to stream the UFC fights, so it was a great weekend despite the heat!
Amazingly well. It gets hot enough to grill and allows for flamed cooking by sliding the sear plate out of the way to allow flame to kick up from below. It used 70% of the pellet hopper over a 6 hour cook. It does seem to run hot, but very steady. Very pleased after the first run.
Dillon State Park this weekend. Got a spot next to the playground with only one neighbor. Easy 90 minute drive and we're squeezing in a trip to the Wilds tomorrow, rain be damned. Good little father's day weekend getaway.
We touched out some slightly inclement weather, but it could have been way worse. The girls had fun and that made it worth it!
Saw this on the camping FB page I follow for Ohio campgrounds. I just cussed this task on Sunday. I see this mod in my future.

Wolf Run State Park this week. Girls hit the sack early, so Gunnar and I are holding down the fire and watching hunting videos. We have 8 trips planned and only one drive (Paint Creek) over 2 hours. We're digging this lifestyle!

What a great night for sleeping in a camper. All the windows open and enjoying the fresh cool air. MORNING CAMPERS!

We spent the weekend in Omer Michigan tubing and canoeing on the Riffle River. A lot of fun to be had up there.
This little fella has been a blessing and a memory making machine since becoming part of the family, hitting the intended mark. I am still work from home and it's become my daily office with the wife and kids home for summer.
In addition it's kept the beer and air cold, the weather out, my old ass off the ground, and a comfortable place to shit, shower & shave. We have been on a 4wk. tear starting with our 14th annual cabrewing trip, followed by a visit to a Jellystone campground, then a family gathering during Cold Creek where we paid homage to my wife's late grandfather, and now at the county fair. The fun continues into next week with BG tractor pulls
