Damn, I don't know what I'd do but do you wonder if they would return for a few of their own if they didn't show back up at the road?!?! :smiley_chinrub:

Lol the dickhead that shot it was only 25 and the other one looked younger than him. They acted scared the whole time and they were the ones with the shotguns. I bet if I would of told them to unload their guns and hand them over they would have. I have his tag with his address on it, maybe I'll go walk around his land.

We ran into the Amish before and they do always act like they don't know the lines. Ours even had a map and walked past the signs for the property they were to hunt. I believe you did the right thing and glad you thought to make him tag it before he left. Loosing a deer would hurt more than paying some fine.

In all reality though, it wasn't him that lost the deer. It was me and everyone else that lives and hunts around there. Ya, I got the deer, but that ain't the point. There's at least one kid I know of down the road that hunts, this could of been his deer, or my buddies who has been doing a little hunting at my place. It just chaps my ass that this deer might of lived if these non tax paying, land rapers wouldn't of been on my land.

I have a had a shitty hunting season this year. I just don't have the drive or the need to get out at all. What the hell is wrong with me. This is the first year in a long time I can say I could care less if I get to hunt or not. I love hunting, I cant figure it out.

I have a horrible head cold. Got some meds from the doctor but only slept a few hours last night, was up coughing the rest. Also found out I get to have surgery in January on my wrist. Residual damage from my car accident in August.

I work in surgery every day, but I am already nervous as all heck.

Get your ass out there and hunt, once your in the woods you'll kick yourself in the ass for not being out sooner!

Don't go if that is how you feel. I'm right there with you. No sense in rubbing salt in the wound. Go shoot some squirrels or come down here for a duck hunt. Fuck deer.

Our #1 buck hit the dirt tonight by a neighbor. We hunted him hard with Andrew sitting 30-35 times looking for him and passing up some decent bucks for a 9 yr old. I only hunted "him" one time as my kids both had high hopes and I didn't have the heart to chase it. Addy hunted in there 5 times including tonight when the shot rang out at 4:30 not very far from us! We went and seen "big tex" and congratulated the happy hunter but I'm super bummed right now and am ready to call it a season!

I'm about to quit with the cams and go back to just "hunting"!

All my cams have been collecting dust since mid october and Ive had one of my funnest seasons in a while.

Bouncing around from peoperty to property keepin things fresh. Have had the best encounters/hunts this year. Not getting hung up on one deer at one place has been refreshing.

With that being said, ill b deploying the arsenal soon for late season. Hope to find 1 or 2 to key in on.

I think if I lived down there on our property trail cams could possibly turn into what you're experiencing Lung Buster. I enjoy running them to see what we have running around, to get some sort of a sense as to how deer are using our property and even to see what other problems we have like trespassers, dogs and coyotes. When it comes time for me or my family to hunt it's generally a weekend thing or my one week so I don't get too hung up on one particular deer because I know the likelihood of our paths crossing is still just the same as without. Like my deer I killed this year, I had earlier stated to myself that I had hoped he would make it another year, yet when I saw him on the hoof it was cool to recognize him and my decision was made when I saw how cool he really was.
