Got at it this morning. Started by doing some more steel wool work on all the small parts. I then soaked them in acetone for a little while to remove all grease and residue.
Wiped them down real good and started blueing all parts including screw heads.

After that I put the stock pieces back together.
After getting everything blued and buffed I put her back together.

I learned a ton while working on this gun. One thing I will do in the near future is clean the barrel and add a couple more coats of blue. After getting it all together I want it a little darker.
Overall I am very happy with the way it turned out and am glad that it is protected and looking as it should.
Now I will get started in the single shots.

I kinda like the lighter barrel the way it is. To dark and it will look new and that would take away its aura of being a "old gun".
Very nice job. I've enjoyed following along. Old family guns are priceless.

Decided to get started on the other two. Started out with the older of the two. Got it sanded down. Started out with 220 then 400 then 0000 steel wool. These are pictures of them after a vinegar bath before sanding.
Couple pics after sanding and polishing with steel wool. Getting close to being ready to be blued.
I don't know much about this one other than I believe it is another Hardware Store gun. Somewhere around 1930 I think. Only markings I have found so far is a KK on one side of the housing. A 12 stamped on the barrel under the fore grip. And standard serial numbers.
