Today Is A Day I Will Never Forget (Video Added)

Dang he moves quick. That's about a 6" drop right there. WOW

On a completely calm deer to boot. imagine if he was already on alert. He must have been a nervous jumpy thing lol.

Kates shot angle was deadnuts! Slightly quartered away with excellent placement! Dang them deer drop fast! Thanks for sharing!

Man after seeing the shot footage I would almost think he has heard a bow go off before.

Amazing reflexes these animals have.

Congrats again to both of you. :smiley_coolpeace:

Wow... Looks to me like her aim couldn't have been any better. It amazes me how much that deer dropped at the shot. Any idea how many fps her arrows are flying out of that bow, Greg?

What I find so crazy is it isn't as if he was alert and on edge ready to peace. Dude was relaxed eating with head down and almost managed to duck out of it. Amazed by that.

Awsome Job! Tell Kate I did the EXACT same thing with my first buck only I was in a ghillie suit (no blind) and he was that close. I had a crossbow and wasnt sure what happened. All i knew was i had to stop him "crawling" away down a sttep hill ...alone...sobbing my eyes out...fumbling with crossbow coking pulleys...cellphone not calling for help in the hills....sobbing at the poor guy. But I got it done and lesson learned about close shots and he is on the wall. GOOD JOB! Keep it up!

Alright, Kate wanted me to get the video up quick, so I didn't get to throw in all the other clips. Kinda bummed cause I had a snippet of Godsmack's Time Bomb added to the video for the kill shot, but couldn't upload it due to copyright issues. Anyway, here it is. Nothing special, just short and sweet.

That was an absolutely great read Greg!! :smiley_clap:

Congrats to you and the wife. I can only imagine the feeling of sharing that special moment. Has to just be incredible. Congrats again to her on making a great shot when the moment presented itself. Great footage too!!!
