I‘ve had issues with this for years. Been wearing spacers between a couple toes, basically one on each foot. It helps but has its limitations. The video explains pretty much why it happens and between combat boots and steel toes it’s the reasoning. Also running shoes cab be the culprit if you look at the designs.
I have hammer toe as well on top of this. Surgery is what’s suggested but too me it’s a last ditch effort if and when it affects my daily routine. For now I just live it. But I think I’ll try the exercises he showed. See if that helps at all. Plus it doesn’t cost anything but a few minutes.
Last year I broke down and bought crocs and they seem too help a lot. When I’m not working on the driveway or in the yard I’m wearing them. The end of the day the feet don’t seem too be as bad as if I wore lace up boots or shoes.
