Can't get this day over soon enough. My mind left for Strouds a week ago and my body is stuck here at work for the rest of today. Going to be the longest day of work EVER!!!!

I'll be there @ noon time TOO. Does anyone have any jars of pressure cooked deer meat ? I think that with noodles & gravy would hit the spot for lunch. I've got the noodles & gravy.

Ready to go. Switched to Shockwaves to see what all the hype was about. May shoot one now just to see them work on a deer!
I am using 100 of Pyrodex and a 250 Shockwave. I much prefer them over the Powerbelts.

That's what I use but with 150 grains of 777 pellets. It kills deer and has a 200 yard reach with an 8 inch drop.

Aside from fish, I'm going to bring down some ribs too. Question is, when is all this grub getting cooked? Are we gonna hunt any?
Guys, just wanted to say have fun (like that's even necessary) & good luck this weekend. I was hoping to make it down to hang out Saturday night but it's just not in the cards this year. I look forward to the updates... I'll be living through the computer this weekend.

We currently have the Group Camp Area reserved which will house 20-30 of us without much issue. There are also several primitive camp sites, 10 camper sites, and a few cabins for rent, a few of which have been reserved by fellow TOOzers. Due to the above, we are severely limited on space to hunt at Strouds. We can figure out who gets to hunt there later one, but there will be other options available. AEP Poston Plant Lands offers 2,240 acres of public hunting. Click here to view a map of this area: Poston Map. This is a 20 minute drive from Strouds.

I have to go out of town tomorrow on business but will unlock the group camp and the camper cabins this evening. Hoyt, (Steve), if you're here by 8:00 am, I can show you that spot on my place where you can set up with your kids. If not, I can walk you there by phone. We have a couple small chest freezers at the boat house that can be used for deer taken Friday and Saturday. Jesse, Joe, Brock and Steve all have my cell phone # so let me know if you need to cool some venison down Friday evening. Travel safe everyone and I'll see ya'll at the campfire on Saturday night!
