Dad text me the other day and said he talked to the neighbor about getting a bunch of his horse manure for the garden, so it was time to reclaim things. Once again, I failed to clean it up after growing season was over and it was a mess. After I cleaned it up, we took 8 loads of horse shit over, spread it, then tilled it in. We borrowed a friends little tiller for the small tractor and it really did a number. It was a little wet, so we'll hit it again tomorrow evening, then we'll be ready to plant soon!

That'll make easy work of things! Coming right along.

My wife will only use cow manure. Says something about horses stomach doesn't break down as many seeds and then you transplant all those seeds into your garden. Hints to weeding more often. Might be worth looking into if you have access to both.

I was always told horse manure made for hotter peppers and better tomatoes. I do most of my weeding with the tiller since I put fabric down around the plants, so I doubt I notice a difference, but we'll see.

Been a busy man lately, but managed to get my planter box done late last night. Got a Better Boy, a Cherokee Purple and a cherry tomato planted with 2 jalapeños, a red and a yellow bell filling in between. This has been a great addition to the landscaping!

Also bought all my plants and seeds for the big garden today. Hope to start planting early next week.

The before and after pics front yard of ny house. Its 2nd year of mothers day that my mom isnt here. So i would get her flowers or something of a tree somewhat.....sooo when mothers day would come up, i didnt know what to do now she's been gone . So, i figure dont just stop buying plants because she isn't here anymore....so i would go on ahead but any kind of plants/flowers, take it over to her grave and show it to her amd bring it back to my house and plant it for her.
