Came home a happy man to see the Mrs. didn't kill em after 5 days lol.
Broccoli is 3wks hardened and dying to get planted. Gave em some nitrogen this AM for this nice soaker.
Full size and miny bells, lettuce, spinach, chives and watermelons are next up for hardening as soon as there is a good planting window available. Looks like our dry spring is about to get moist over the next 1.5-2wks. Moist don't drip...
so hopefully it doesn't get out of hand.
Lastly I'm late on the next round of indoor seed planting for transplanting on May 1 for maters an other remaining vegtables. Need to do it this week.

Wowzers that 2.25" was not needed all at once! It has gone down substantially since it stopped raining around 8pm yesterday, but damn...
Put the 10 brocolli in the ground Fri. 5/7 on the high ground. They look to have made it through the flood and frost lol. I was hoping to put a few more brocolli seeds in at the same time, but waiting a few days for it to dry out a bit will be wise. I was happy with the root growth of the Feb seedlings, and feel I was light on feeding them so that's encouraging.
Still need to stretch the fence and plant more seeds in the basement, need some motivation. Hoping the sun this week is the boost needed.

I bought plants, but I'm glad I haven't planted yet! I'll need to bring them inside tomorrow and Wednesday night with these temps. I'll work on my fencing this week, then plant this weekend after it dries out some.

I just did this video, the cover crop in my garden has really helped with water infiltration! So happy I have given this a try the last few years! Although it sure doesn't look as nice, UGH!!

I got green beans, peas, and potatoes all popping up. Got the rest of the plants inside till this weekend. I was pretty excited when I seen all the sprouts. First time with a garden this big.

Apple and peach trees already have fruit starting...blackberry and raspberries are flowering.
Got her turned over this AM to dry out in the sun this afternoon. Broccoli got a helping of ground up egg shell for calcium and a good shaking of vegetable fertilizer before being tilled in. Next up is trellis building and some bean planting if there is enough hours today. Hoping to get sweet corn group 1 in the ground this week.
Was a good day with good help. Got it all planted. Two types of pole beans, green and red cabbage, two kinds of corn, pickling cucumbers, peas, 40 peppers in 6 different varieties, 30 tomatoes in 6 different varieties, yellow squash, and zucchini. Both girls worked an 8 hour day with me and once again proved why their future boyfriends better not be soft.

My tiller now lacks power. Guess I’ll disc it and make it a weed/pumpkin/squash patch. Use my raised beds for tomatoes.
I was able to knock out some more items for cucumbers, bush n pole beans, and maters while she dried up. Still to wet to do mounds for watermelons, added to the list for the week with corn. Still to 2wks away atleast for planting everything else. Turning out to be a nice spring weather wise!
I brought some top soil and compost over to top off our raised planters. Went back to pressure washing the house after topping them off. Our kids planted for my wife as she is recovering from a surgery. We are now all planted.
Can't beat that Phil, nice of them to do that. I hope the Mrs. heals up quickly.

Planted our 4x24' raised bed garden last week. 5 tomatoes, 3 cucumbers, squash zucchini, bush beans, a few peas, jalapeños and serranos.
Random (not completely) plantings of pumpkins and watermelons aid the edge of the yard also.
