Quotation. If you are going to fence in a horse shoe shaped raised bed, why not just fence in your garden?

Because if I do that, I could no longer get a truck and trailer into my backyard or to my barn. The raised beds would be relocated so that doesn't happen. I'd have already fenced in the garden if that wasn't the case.

@Ohiosam , do pumpkins and watermelon cross pollinate? I'm finding mixed results in my research and memory says no. I have to go back and check some interesting looking fruit I saw this AM lol.

Yes they will. All cucurbits will cross- pumpkins, squash, melons etc. I don’t believe it will affect this year’s crop but don’t save the seeds

@Fullbore and his awesome garden came up big again this year. He’s made salsa, pickles, pepper relish and other stuff already and has given a ton of his neighbors out the ridge some stuff as well.
Today I made peach/pepper jam and pickled some nanner pepper rings.

He picked these 3 baskets of maters to can this morning I guess.
