(y) :)One of the items on my to-do/personal enrichment/bucket list is to learn how to run a sewing machine . Finally got after it, used some cotton duck to make a muzzy possibles bag. Not completely finished, gotta put the straps on it. Like me, it ain't pretty, but will be functional. No pattern, just laid mu stuff out and marked and measured and cut and stitched. Gonna spray it with some waterproofing stuff when done.

Awesome Danno, the bag and the ol dog learning new tricks!

Update : got the straps sewed on and magnetic catches sewn in, along with a support strut in the center to keep the bag from opening and dumping. I bought some of the same material in dark brown and will someday make version 2.0

I googled some practice projects and made some shit-pillowcases, stuffed toys, phone/tablet holders, and chapstick Keychain holders. And i hemmed some pants. So I'm done for a while. Glad I learned this skill

Looks good Danno!
Time to move onto leather goods. Holsters, knife sheaths etc

Time to restart the flock after a rough spring around Shoestring Acres. I've been monitoring Cackle Hatchery and Meyer Hatchery for a while trying to get the Blue and Chocolate Orpingtons, and finally got them matched up for a delivery date that works with our family schedule. I've wanted a number of other "pretty" breeds and settled on the Blue Marans after having lunch with the regular French Copper version. The Olive Eggers were so we could have a new egg color in the mix. The color of the eggs will vary more than the chickens! Now I have to build my new coop...
