Adding blueberries to our mix. This makes raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, paw paws and now blueberries to what grows on our property. Hopefully this fall I can add a few apple trees.

No pics to share, but we started the "move out process" this weekend. I cleaned out the storage building on Friday, then we spent all afternoon/evening Saturday cleaning the laundry room up. Got a load of stuff to trash, donate, and put in storage. That'll help facilitate the upstairs closet "thinnings" underway! It's getting real, real fast!

Ran a batch of black raspberry jam today to use up the rest of our 2017 berries. K loves picking, eating and now turning berries into jelly!
I can vouch for this stuff! Damn tasty and worth every minute of jesses effort. 
Added to the stable tonight. Post 4H fair season market ducks for $2 a beak. I'll fatten them up and butcher them as needed.

A bad experience. The ducks muddy up the waterer doing what ducks do and waste a lot of feed. I only did it for about a month and a half until the pond was ice free then kicked their asses out.

Agree. Ducks are messy. I’d keep them separate. We always had problems with them dirtying up the water.
I use a nipple waterer for my chickens, but there's no way to keep ducks from making a mess of the run itself. I had them both together for a while, but separated them when I moved my chickens into the barn. Thinking about my permanent arrangements now that we've settled in and I have a few months to work on the new fencing layout, plus building a coop.
You know what time it is?!?
10 ducks, 10 chickens means it's time to change nasty ass bedding for the next 8 weeks!
