Brock... You using a bow??? TOO thick??? 30-35 yds should be a dead bird with a gun..

Nothing close this morning early. Around 8:30 a group of times came around the neighbors point carrying on. With no foliage yet I was committed to sitting and calling. They wouldn't cross hollow. Maybe next week I can get closer to them.

No. I've had this bird inside of 20 and not been able to shoot. He's in an area choked with Japanese honeysuckle, that's saved him several times. That wasn't the case this morning though. I sat up under his roost tree, could have blown him off the limb. He had no idea I was there he just pitched the wrong direction today. He's roosting on a high wall above a creek and I was on the uphill side. He flew down to another gobbler and a bunch of other turkeys that came up the creek bottom. If I don't kill him early tomorrow, I'll go kill his buddy if he acts like he did this morning.
Sounds like everyone has had it pretty good this week.
I've been hearing a few birds in the evenings, but haven't had a chance to hunt yet. Tomorrow will be my first chance to get out, and I'm going to call for dad. He's been listening every morning this week, and the birds have been fairly consistent in their locations. Fingers crossed!

Took the day off too recharge the batteries and to get some stuff done since it wasn’t going to rain.... Hit it again tomorrow to see if we can get some retribution 
Debating on going back after these birds or wait til Saturday morning. Taking my buddy Ron out in hopes of getting him his first longbeard so I might just hold off on them til then. Will be listening out there tomorrow night to try and pin point their roost for Saturday morning. Gotta be at least 4 longbeards running the farm right now.
What's everyone's plans for the weekend? I'm hunting with my buddy Ron on Saturday, then heading to J's in the evening and hunting with him and Dickie Sunday morning. Should be a fun weekend, hopefully someone kills a bird.
Going out tomorrow and maybe Sunday. Hope to work some of the birds I located yesterday

Only heard distant gobbles from the roost this am. All went quiet after fly down. Back out tomorrow.
I didn't realize you were taking me on Saturday... Where are we meeting?
So you will be playing with J's dickie on Sunday morning? I knew it.

My cousin is home from his latest special forces operation. He's already asked if my brother or I would take him turkey hunting. But after that I'm gonna say we end up drunk somewhere Since that's what usually happens when we're all together.
