JohnROH and myself had a good hunt. We were off the"X" by 200 yards (one field over). Had at least a hundred birds come over us but most wanted the field beside us. These are tight fields for them to land.

4 geese down and a wet ass!

Headed to the blind today. Should have plenty of water unlike last week! Had a couple buddies bail, so it's just me and my buddy who is new to all this. I'll have to settle for a minimum set up today since I don't have help. He doesn't have waders either, so we can't sit where I'd really like to sit. But it beats work!

Had a great solo hunt tonight. A lot of work fighting the wind and water in the canoe but I don't get to shoot many nice pintail, so even tho I was one short on mallards it was still a great hunt

IMAG0975.jpgIMAG0976.jpgI got out the last two days hunting my cousins back yard which turned into part of the maumee river the last two days. It was not very productive as in years past for reason I don't know. But today me and my brother were able to take two Iraq vets on there 2nd waterfowl hunt with yesterday being there first. We had a big group of geese finish a little bit long but ended up killing 3 of which 2 were banded. We ended up finishing 2 mallards in the hole and picked up early for family time today. Always feels good to give back to those that have protected this country! Merry Christmas to all of you wonderful guys!.

I knew someone would comment on the selfie . I was hunting solo so it was the only way to capture my coolness ..literally . Boy was it cold . Plus I thought maybe Id be discovered and they'd hire me for some reality show . I won't say anything about niggers and queers....I promise.
