This thread definitely gave me some inspiration, but the price of lumber gave me pause long enough to consider a "hybrid" version of a trailer blind. RK has these $100 off and although smaller than had I encased my whole trailer, I got this for the same $ as the lumber and it will be more versatile. We have some angle laying around and I can scrap lumber for the floor from the 2 permanent platforms I've built in the past. The plan is to take my 5x8 trailer and add jacks on the corner, then weld in a frame that allows the wooden floor to come out in planks. That way I can use my trailer for other chores, then throw the planks back in and secure the blind. I can move this all around the farm and with the base at around 5', the view will be great. It's going to get setup and put out on the ground today so we can use it for this season and I build it out this spring.
