Trap line gun

I’m in the market for a new gun to use on my trapping adventures. I’ve been taking my trusty ol 22 which works great but it has sentimental value so I baby it. I want something that can get beat and banged up that I’m not worried as much about. Anybody have any suggestions? I open to anything.

Find an old used glenfield/marlin 60 .22 plenty of them around and lots of spare parts to be had.

For sure a .22 pistol. Sentimental also since it was my dad’s but holstered on the belt it’s protected pretty good. Nice and light also.

Rual king as a cheap savage thats very short. Cost around 130 or so. Thats what I cary

Ruger Wrangler revolver in .22 caliber. Single action, no frills, but it’s super cheap and reliable. Get a holster and you’re in business. That’s what I use on the trap line and it works great.
