Trapping Season 2025-2026

Little bastard wasn't the one with my trap! But I wasn't giving him a chance to get away. I seen him on the cam last night and figured he was caught. So I hurried down to clear it before he got away. This was one of those tough old boars that just didnt want to give up.
I'm with you, i need to get some set out. Waiting on my time off which starts tomorrow afternoon so i could reliably check the traps.
I only have 6 out, but it literally only took me 10 minutes to run the line and clear the one before work. Not sure how far you guys are trying to go, but it doesn't have to be a huge deal. My idea was I was bored and any little bit would help. I set them all on the quad trail too for ease for me and levi. (Even tho that lazy ass hasn't checked them once!)
Levi is keeping it going! Looks like a big one finally.

I did buy a couple Bridger #3 offsets today since the yotes have shown up in full force at the farm during this cold snap. Headed out there tomorrow to set some footholds for them and some DPs for coons. So my 3 day mini-trapping excursion is off to a solid start!

Those are the Lake Erie zone dates that close in March 15th. Odd that they don't identify it there. I don't remember those dates listed in the season summaries either
Confusing and conflicting. Which is what? Can I put DP's back out when it warms up next week or not?
You are allowed to trap a nuisance animal. Just has to die at said property.
For fur trapping you can keep going if you're in the lake eerie zone counties.
You can still keep trapping under nuisance regulations all year but you can't sell the fur

This. Still need to check daily, but you can keep on keeping on as long as it's not a commercial operation.
Only costs 40 bucks and take a test to get paid for it.
