Truck Opinions....

Ok... Found one closer to my house that's a little different... Gonna go see what the color looks like in person tomorrow, as pics are deceiving... Ok this could be a major factor... The 5.3 Chevy V8 is one of those that disable cylinders when on highway... This I'm told is why they had problems with the 5.3... So what's your thoughts on the Dodge Hurricane 6 cyl... It's got twin turbos and generates I think 450 hp...

You can get something to turn off the active fuel management

In all my driving today between swimming pool jobs I was taking note of all pickup trucks with crew cabs.... EVERYONE WAS A SHORT BED... So I think I'm limited to a short bed...

Told a local dealer to get the original truck ( Trail Boss ) from the other dealer.. After thinking about it I can deal with the shorter bed not a big deal... Gave him a price Im willing to pay... Make that happen and I'll be here next week with a bank check in hand ... If not back to getting a VW BUS from the 60's... Anyone good at painting flowers on a vehicle...

Depending on which vw bus, restored one is more than the truck you are looking at.

Still undecided... When laying out $55k + ... There's a lot of factors to consider... Vehicles today are just a pile of junk no matter what make they are... Tues. I'm driving along and there's a Toyota Tundra pulled over to the side of the road with its hood up... So I pull over and get out and ask the guy if he's broke down... He's not happy and says he was cruising along when he heard two loud pops under the hood and truck shut off and now won't start... So he's waiting for a tow truck... So I said damn this truck looks brand new... He says yup, just got it last month and it has under 2,000 miles on it... WTF...

Probably a new motor coming his way….. Just a lot of BS in between….

A neighboring landowner died a month ago. His son is selling his 21 f 150. It only has 5k miles on it. Those Covid era vehicles make me nervous. But it is sharp, and priced right. Thoughts?

Go for it if the price is right... COVID era is probably better than today's JUNK... Come to think of it my son bought a Chevy silverado during COVID and loves it...
