Had one just like it (exact color too) back in the day when I first started driving legally, which originally belonged to my grandfather that past that same year when I turned 16, my very first owned pickup. Lots of memories made within that truck and some have to do with the ladies and that nice big bench front seat. It is why I still maintain my current 96 cause it always takes me back to those good old days.

My 96' F350 single axle 1ton 5-speed manual 460cu.in. fuel injected single cab long bed that I rebuilt in 2009 and made into a snow removal truck. I customized the plow frame and rebuilt the entire driveline as well. Bought from a young man in Kentucky for under 1k with a blown motor. Truck is solid still. It's a rear truck and less than 15k manufactured. I need to drop another new clutch into it currently, which I'll be doing here very soon now that my deer season is over with. Over 75k on the newer rebuilt motor and clutch and the truck has just over 200k on it overall. It's been one hellava work truck for me and it's paid for itself 10x fold since I rebuilt it. Love this truck!

Nice trucks! Don't you enjoy the white one? 🤣

That plow mount is low! I'd be worried about catching on a curb or stump.

Love the white one too, in fact, thinking about putting the motor into another. That 7.3 turbo diesel is hard to pass up.

Plow frame was never an issue and plenty of height. I spent thousands of hours doing snow removal for both residential and commercial costumers over the years since I made it into a snow removal pickup, over 75 clients throughout all central & southern Ohio. It was always my truck that never broke down, competing with bigger outfits too. It's a workhorse!

Anyone remember the feeling of driving an old truck or something? Maybe a tractor. The one that you didn't even look where you were going. Just ease out on the clutch and FEEL the vehicle. Old Chevy 3 on the tree is what I'm thinking of. You had to be part of that truck to drive it. Man, they don't make them like that anymore!

I love driving old trucks with 3 on the tree, my CJ-7 definitely has you more connected with the road. I am amazed how well my 62 impala rides and drives, it floated down the road.

This last one was build by an old guy that hangs out at the store right down from where I building my house. That thing is very well done and cool and unique as crap.

I saw the Porsche. Now the 23 window bus? Are you a VW guy too? Because I've had some Beetles.

It kills me that my parents had that 23 window, sold it long before I came along. They also had a 63 Kerman Ghia, 57 VW oval window, my dad went to work for IBM out of the Air Force as a typewriter repairman, he told me he put all his tools where the back seat was and would get on the highway to go to DC for training and the Bug would do 70 mph wide open.

One more story, when my dad was in the Air Force, one of their buddies bought a new VW Bettle, he was bragging about how of good gas mileage he got. So they 3-4 guys that hung out all carried around a gallon of gas and every time they saw his car they would put a gallon of gas in it. Remember 1960 VW didn’t have a gas gauge only a reserve lever. He was getting unheard of mileage, even for a Bug, like 40-60 mpg.

Well they let this go on for a month or so, then every time they saw he car they started taking a gallon of gas out of it. Man he was flipping out going to the dealer raising hell, now he was getting like 15-20 mpg.

Still one of the beat pranks I have ever heard of.
