Question, was it the hand you use most?
I'm in New Jersey, so guess that doesn't pertain to me..Nasty! Brown Recluse are rarely in Ohio. https://www.burkemuseum.org/collect...omology/spider-myths/myth-brown-recluses-bite Doctors like to say any insect bite/reaction is a Brown Recluse because they're not entomologists and don't know jack about spiders.
Yeh ... I kept squeezing it to get poisons, blood and puss out... Finally stopped draining... Now the dead skin has to just fall off and I have to not pick at it.....Wife got bit onHer calf years ago by a brown recluse. Nasty infection. She had to keep the wound open so it would heal from the inside out. It took quite a while. She still has a scar from it.
Southeast Ohio has a solid population of them. We got to looking around and found 4 or 5 brown recluse “cocoons” or nests around the house outside. She also found as many at her work. When approached they try to hide In their cocoon. Only bite if they get trapped inside of clothing or something similar. Wishing you all the best in your recovery.
