Utility trailers, lets talk

I have been wanting to pick one up for a few years. I am a big fan of tandem axles. Wife is pushing more towards a car hauler but I would like something lighter so we can pull them around with the tacomas. Levi is wanting to start a lawn business so that is my current push. I could sell his truck and get him in something bigger pretty easily.

Pros/cons with a car hauler or utility?

What do you have and why?

Brands?

I took the neighbors TSC trailer to grab a quad a few weeks ago. It did what it is designed to do.

Guessing it is 12' or maybe 14'. Ramp is a little short for lawn mower angle. But manageable.

I have been looking off and on for over a year now. Seems like I can get alot of trailer for cheaper than a small trailer. Lol. So I am not against buying an equipment trailer either.

I did a bunch of shopping back in the summer. I was dead set on a 7x14' tandem, just never pulled the trigger. That size will haul my tractor with the brushhog on, and I can sit the tiller up front and sit the bucket on top. It will fit multiple quads with gear and would make an all-around good trailer. I'd go 6x10 or 12 if I was a one man lawn crew. Dad has a 6x10 single axle that's great for this purpose. One man can move it and it'll haul everything you need to be a lawn boy.

You can't go wrong with a 7x14 tandem. The Sure-Trac and SLE models are solid IMO. The Carry-Ons at TSC are decent as well. If money were no object, I'd probably buy a Gator.

These are built right here too. Close enough I can hear their shop crew leave the shop. I am a sucker for buying local but I am not really thinking new at this point.

Better go 18 if you want to haul cars. Or attachments. Tractor with a bush hog takes a lot of room. Suretrac, Texas Bragg, pretty much anything with a decent name brand behind it should treat you well. They will make Ben's trailer look cheap though. Can get expensive when buying what is essentially going to be an equipment trailer.

If I go with a car hauler or equipment trailer, it'll be 20 or 22 footer.
